2025 HKUST 3MT® Competition
The 2025 HKUST Three Minute Thesis (3MT®) Competition was held in the spring semester of 2024-25. The number of the entries in 2025 is at a new record high since the competition was expanded to the university level in 2018. The entries were received from all the five schools. The candidates are from ten different economies. After three days' pre-selection, eight finalists from three different schools were selected for the final round that was held on April 9, 2025. After eight 3MT® presentations followed by a short Q&A session after each, Alessandro Buffoli, PhD student in the Department of Marketing, won the Championship. The 1st Runner-up and the 2nd Runner-up went to Zahrasadat Hosseini, PhD student in the Department of Electronic and Computer Engineering, and Nahid Khodabakhshi, PhD student in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. Chrissen Juvileen Dela Cruz Galang was voted the People's Choice.
