The 2024 HKUST Three Minute Thesis (3MT®) Competition received registrations from all the five schools/ academy. The candidates are from ten different economies. After two days’ pre-selection interview, eight students from three schools/ academy and six economies entered the final. After an hour and a half’s final competition, Nahid Khodabakhshi, PhD student in Civil Engineering, won the Championship. The second and third places went to Jingchen Li, MPhil student in Social Science, and Shama Razzaq, PhD student in Environmental Science, Policy and Management. Jingchen also won the People’s Choice Award. As Champion of the 2024 HKUST 3MT® Competition, Nahid will represent HKUST at the 2024 Virtual Asia-Pacific 3MT® Competition.
